Software Carpentry in R

The Library and Research ITC is excited to bring Software Carpentry in R back to campus.
Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. This 2-day hands-on workshop will focus on “Programming with R” and cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.
Who: The course is aimed at staff, graduate students and other researchers, but all are welcome. You don't need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop.
When: June 28-29, 2018, 8:30a-4:30p
Where: Vail 710
Lunches and refreshments provided by the Provost’s Office and Research ITC.
Requirements: Participants must bring a laptop with a Mac, Linux, or Windows operating system (not a tablet, Chromebook, etc.) that they have administrative privileges on (i.e. be able to install software).
