Calling STEM graduate students….if you are usually the first in line to sign up for an event at Rauner Special Collections, and yet aren't confident about the workflows involved in asking to see an interesting folio or manuscript for fun or for more systematic research, this session is for you.

What’s in it for us you ask? Well, you can get to peruse the following and more…

  1. Andreae Vesalii...De humani corporis fabrica libri septem. Andreas Vesalius. Ex officina Ioannis Oporini, Basileae: 1543. Rare QM25 .V4
  2. Relativity: the special and the general theory, a popular exposition. Albert Einstein. 3d. Methuen, London: 1920. Val QC180 E35r4
  3. Elementa geometriae. Euclid, Adelard and Campano. Erhard Ratdolt, Venice: 1482. Incun 52
  4. Caroli Linnæi ... : Systema naturæ; sistens regna tria naturæ, in classes et ordines, genera et species redacta tabulisque æneis illustrata. Linné, Carl von, 1707-1778. Rare QH43 .S21

Come and join friendly librarians to demystify this process.

Bring your laptops, and your enthusiasm to learn how to find and request materials from the Rauner Special Collections. We'll meet in room 109, which is to the immediate right once you enter the Rauner Special Collections, main reading room. See you there!

Registration has closed.
